On Saturday 19th September 1998, 3rd Battalion The Prince of Wales's Own Regiment of Yorkshire was presented with new Colours, on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, by Field Marshal The Lord Inge GCB DL at Imphal Barracks, York.

The consecration of the Colours:

		September 19th was one of the finest days of 1998, as is shown by the crispness of the shadows. A very fitting day for this most auspicious occasion.
